About
Alpro is a class-leading, aluminium and zinc, sand and gravity die casting foundry based in West Bromwich, West Midlands.
The foundry has a gravity die casting department and 3 sand moulding lines; 2 of which produce medium to high volume sand-cast production and the other, produces large floor moulds for castings up to 1500kg. Both sand moulding lines use state of the art mixers on chemically bonded sand systems for maximum dimensional accuracy.
Driven by a commitment to meet customer requirements, the company continues to build on its reputation within the cast metals industry. At the heart of Alpro’s success is the leadership of Managing Director Gina Steventon. Her life-long dedication to the company and vision has guided the company through many domestic and global economic challenges. This level of commitment can also be seen by all of the hard-working Alpro team.
Alpro's cast metal engineers have a vast wealth of experience in the production of engineering, automotive, defence, energy, architectural and rain water castings.

ORIGINS
The origins date back to 1937. The first castings produced by Alpro were 90 years ago!
There is limited information available about the early years but what we do know is, after 8 years of trading throughout the Second World War, Alpro moved into bigger premises on Haines Street, West Bromwich in 1945, and is still located at the same premises.
